Tuesday 6th September
The saga continues! Is this what it is going to be like for the next 20 years? 'Are you nearly ready?' 'Not yet and I'm not telling you when I will be...' Is she doing her makeup or what's going on.

We are in over due mode. The nail biting, panic etc has subsided and has given way to the 'get it over with' scenario. The signs were there to see from an early stage. A few months ago we went for a scan (ultrasound) and we got a glimpse of the baby lying back with her legs crossed. Totally relaxed. I'm not sure, but I thought I saw 'the Guardian' in her hand.

Most importantly, herself is healthy as a horse. The waddle has started only yesterday. My wee duck, now walks like a duck too. I am trying to not make it so obvious in falling behind a little when we are out walking to view from behind and giggle. 'What are you doing back there?' 'He he he - nuttin!'

Sleeping these days is proving to be a bit of a problem, as practice 'twinges' are setting in on a more regular basis. On mentioning this to one or two of my family members back in Ireland. A game of Chinese whispers ensued and we started getting texts about full labour having started. Alas not yet, but we will let you know.

Today is one of her uncles birthday, so if she was born today her twin uncle would have no excuse in missing her birthday and therefore buying her loads of expensive pressies. The next uncle's birthday is not till July next year and I'm not quite so sure that Fiona can hold out till then, but you never know at this rate.

Next week of course is Fiona's birthday, so I might have only one day per year to remember! Or maybe get into serious trouble once a year from now on... that could be dangerous.

Other friends here from Cambodia are in the same basket. Deana / Sebastian had there baby a few days ago in the same hospital (congrats).
Natalie / Sanjay have been to the hospital, just to be sent home again. So the race is back on for the best birthing room in the hospital. Should be very soon though.
We are off to the hospital this morning again for more stress tests on the baby (just heart rate and contraction rate). This happens every three days now. The doctor always ends the appointment with 'See you in 3 days, or sooner if labour begins.' This is usually followed by a quasi 'Dr Evil' laugh: 'We are going to have your baby and then take over the world Hah hah haaaa', which is A tad disturbing.
Contact info here. Baby blankets have been knitted by nesting mother to be. Nursery rhyme research has begun. 5\1 odds on the baby coming the 13th Fiona's bday, down from 20\1. Anyone want a piece of the action? Names, name, name. Help please, or will Kylie, Shakira be named by me. will keep you informed!
